Fable or truth?

We will discuss the most important claims and myths here. Myth: Dogs with a high attitude are always confident. This is not the case. It just depends on how the animal is built. Yet this is claimed by many people. This way of thinking is really too short. However, in some cases, it can hold. When an animal is confident it will try to make itself as large as possible. The larger the better this animal is. Other confident dogs are more relaxed and unimpressed. When dogs want to impress, it is often uncertain. An impressive animal can therefore also simply be uncertain.

A myth too: An animal that wags is always happy. This certainly does not always have to be the case. For example, when a dog ends up in a fight, it can wag its tail considerably. This is also possible during hunting, for example. Dogs often wag their tails. This does not necessarily have to be clear for happy behavior. There are different forms of wagging. Wagging with relaxed muscles, for example, is a possibility. When the butt swings back and forth and the tail swings in all directions, it means that the animal is happy. So you can determine how a dog feels with a lot of the characteristics. This can be both positive and negative. Pay close attention to the signals that dogs give you.

When the ears stand back, an animal is always scared. This is certainly not always the case, but often. When they want to contact, this animal can also adopt this attitude. Dogs can take this position when they are scared, but they don’t have to. This animal can also do that, for example, when it hears something interesting. A myth is also that dogs that run on the back are scared. There are plenty of dogs that do this to relax. It certainly does not have to be an attitude in which the animal is afraid. When the back and neck hairs of a dog match, you can compare with goosebumps in people. It is a reflex that often occurs due to the excitement and/or tension. When panting dogs you can also recognize how they feel. With a positive context: soft corners of the mouth, flapping ears, soft tongue, and soft eyes.
